shattered glass

in preparation for an entry for the Atlantic City Boardwalk Holocaust Memorial competition,
these early renderings demonstrate the study of form for a tessellated seaside pavilion

for this Holocaust memorial, a reference is made to Kristallnacht, “The Night of the Broken Glass”. the tessellated forms reflect the strong, jagged shards of glass of the shattered windows of the Jewish businesses: the first public attack on the Jewish people.
