tensegrity models /school

a further study of bubble physics and tensile structures (from the previous projects) leads to a study of tensegrity structures. inspiration drawn from buckminster fuller’s repeated three-member simplexes (right) develops into a variation utilizing a fabric in tension forms a new concept.

utilizing the previous tensegrity models, a series of vignettes depicts the possible methods of utilization for each structural concept: fabric structures form volumes that open as a space frame while the three-member simplexes form truss-like networks
